I live in Wake Forest, NC with my wife, Amanda, and our five kids. Otherwise, you’ll find me obsessing over Napa Valley, health science, and anything involving Michelin stars.

The Early Days
Childhood
Hitting the family jackpot.
As a fourth-generation entrepreneur, I'm so grateful to have been born into a family of self-made do'ers.
First Legitimate Business
High School
Catching the bug.
In high school, I started my first actual business. A buy-and-flip eBay store where I drop shipped before that was even a thing.
By the time I turned 20, I'd started and sold three businesses.
The Band Years
My Teens
Learning to lead.
After high school, I joined a band called Day After Day. We treated the band like a business and got to see a ton of the U.S. together.
This is where I began learning to see my blindspots as a leader. Painful, but important lessons.
The Dave Ramsey Years
My Twenties
Stretching my wings.
After moving to Nashville, I joined Dave Ramsey's team where I learned so much about succeeding in business.
I'm so honored to have been hand-selected by Dave and the Board of Directors to oversee the organization's flagship product line: Financial Peace University.
The Agency Years
My Thirties
Going national.
After spending a decade at Dave's, I moved to Raleigh, NC to lead the strategic transformation of a small private practice into a nationally sought-out brand, including the creation of a full-service in-house agency.
I eventually chose to divest, and I'm really proud to have left behind an ecosystem built to scale, adapt, and continue growing for decades.
Authoring
Book After Book
Getting published.
Along the way, somehow I ended up writing a book that got distributed by Simon and Schuster. Then another, and then another.
PRESENT DAY
Early Forties
Launching Atlas.
When AI search erased the marketing agency I own, our team built the visibility engine that became Atlas.
Atlas teaches the new AI-based algorithms to recommend you when people search for the help you provide.
The current chapter
Mid-Forties
Embracing my passion.
Today, I get to spend the majority of my time helping other business leaders protecting what they've built from the unexpected crisis.
